JAMMU, Apr 24: Former MLC and PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed serious concern over the failure of the Government to solve the issues of daily wagers, casual and need based and CP workers, who are without wages for months together.
Expressing strong resentment over the indifferent and insensitive approach of the successive governments towards these sections of the society, who have undergone great sufferings, as their fate hangs in balance. It is unfortunate that the respective department utilize their services on regular basis and all sorts of responsibilities and duties are assigned to them but not paid anything for months together. It is worst form of human exploitation by the Government after giving them hope of regularization.
He demanded that Governor’s Administration should ensure regular payment of wages to these category of people in PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control, PDD and other departments, till their regularization. He said that they are worst neglected lot in the State and deserve all sympathy and their due rights.
Sharma said that Congress would fully support and agitate the cause of these suffering sections of the society, if the present Government fails to fulfill the commitments to them in near future.
