NEW DELHI, Apr 25: In a scathing attack on the opposition, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh said here today that except for a handful of Prime Ministerial aspirants from the so-called “Mahagathbandhan”, the whole of India stands united behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a party meeting, Dr Jitendra Singh said, whether one likes it or not, the hard reality is that the people of this country have unanimously decided that Narendra Modi should continue as the Prime Minister of India in future also. Since this hard fact is not going down well with some of the self-appointed Prime Ministerial candidates, they have resorted to a vicious campaign against Modi, without realizing that the more they speak ill of Modi, the more Modi gets endeared to the people of India.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, it should rather be a matter of pride for every Indian that Narendra Modi has emerged as a unique unifying force with overwhelming acceptance and popularity across the country, from North to South, East to West and even Northeast. He said, in a heterogeneous country like India, with people subscribing to different faiths and sects, Narendra Modi has emerged as a rare phenomenon with the capacity to bind people of different diversities in a single cord.
Describing Modi as a symbol of composite Indian-ness, Dr Jitendra Singh said, political parties like Congress which are trying their best, even though in vain, to erode the Modi phenomenon, are in fact doing great injustice to the idea of India and Indian-ness.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, when Narendra Modi files his nomination papers from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat tomorrow, this will mark the reiteration of India’s ancient and rich cultural heritage, which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Narendra Modi has tried to restore to its pristine glory.
