JAMMU, Apr 25: A youth died under mysterious circumstances in Old Satwari area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Beeru (23), an adopted son of Raju, resident of Shamali Mohalla, Old Satwari,” a police official said. He said that last night Beeru as usual went to sleep in a rented shop of his father but did not wake up in the morning following which the family members informed the police.
He said a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where after getting conducted postmortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites. “In this connection, inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated at police station Satwari,” the official added.
