RAJOURI, Apr 26: A State level literary meet was hosted by Himalayan College here today in which writers, poets and literary figures from across the State participated.
The event was organized by Dept of Rural Development Rajouri in collaboration with Dabastan-e-Himala—a Literary and Cultural Wing of Himalayan Education Mission Rajouri.
Huge number of students, teachers and litterateurs attended the mega event and enjoyed the creative compositions of writers.
The programme was divided into two sessions–first being the story and afsana reading session followed by Mushaira. The programme commenced with welcome address by Akhter Qazi Assistant Commissioner Development Rajouri.
Noted poet and writer from Himachal Pradesh Krishan Kumar Toor, who is also member of Sahitya Academy Delhi and Arsh Sehbai eminent poet of J&K jointly presided over the event.
The other prominent poets and writers who graced the occasion besides presenting their creative pieces of writing in the programme included Farooq Muztar Founder Patron Himalayan Education Mission Rajouri, Balraj Bakshi, Nisar Rahi, A R Fida, Dr M K Waqar, Akhter Qazi, Iqbal Shawl, Khurshid Janam, Zulifqar Naqvi, Shams Kamal Anjum, Dr Mushtaq Wani, Sajjad Poonchi, Rubina Mir, Zanfar Khokhar and many more.
