60-feet pole for unfurling Tricolour inaugurated at High Court

JAMMU, Apr 26: A 60-feet high pole, installed by J&K High Court Bar Association for unfurling of the Tri-colour was inaugurated today by President of the Association, B S Slathia (Senior Advocate).
Slathia was accompanied by other office bearers including Sachin Gupta, vice president, Prem Sadotra, general secretary, Himanshu Sharma, joint secretary, Chetan Misri (treasurer) and Daljeet Singh (president YLA).
The Association president unfurled the National Flag accompanied by many lawyers also including senior and lady members. This is the highest Tri-color Flag Pole in the Judicial Institution expressing strong commitment of the lawyers fraternity with National unity and the Constitution of the Indian union.
Speaking on the occasion, Slathia said that thousands of people of the State, Army and other security personnel, besides J&K Police personnel have given their prime sacrifices for upholding the dignity of the National Flag which is symbol of National unity and Independence.
Meanwhile, the Association members also paid rich tributes to Dr Bhim Rao Amedkar, the father of Constitution of India, on his birth anniversary. The programme concluded with singing of National Anthem .
