JAMMU, May 1: Government Ayurvedic Hospital here today organized a free medical camp and awareness programme about nutrition among children and the general masses.
Over 423 people including children from nearby schools, their parents and staff of the schools attended the camp and were benefitted.
Free medicines were distributed.
The programme was organized under the outreach programme of the hospital in association with United Sikh Forum.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Taran Singh, Medical Superintendent Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu asked the students to avoid junk food and unhealthy eating habits.
He also said that Ayurveda places special emphasis on Ahara and believes that healthy nutrition nourishes mind, body and soul.
United Sikh Forum thanked Government Ayurvedic Hospital for the camp.
Those who spoke on the occasion were S. Gurmeet Singh, S. Mehar Singh, S. Sher Singh, Raj Kumar Nishchal, N.P Singh and S. Arshdeep Singh.
Dr. Deepa kachroo, Dr. Anil Sharma, Dr. Jatinder Singh, Kewal Singh Choudhary Sup. Pharmacist, Mohinder Singh Sr. Pharmacist, Sukheel Parvez, Parmacist, Rajinder Kumar, Sat Pal, Swarn Singh extended their services for the successful camp.
