JAMMU, May 1: A meeting of Displaced Medical Pensioners Welfare Association was held here, today under the chairmanship of P K Koul in which the problems of pensioners were discussed.
Addressing the meeting, P K Peshin, senior Trade Union leader asked the Government to settle the long pending demands of pensioners including revision of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month in view of high cost of medicines. The meeting also demanded release of second installment of 7th Pay Commission arrears as was already announced by the Government that the same will be released in April 2019.
