POONCH, May 3: A local Army unit located in Mendhar area organised a medical camp at village Gohlad, under `perception management’ today.
A team comprising of a doctor from Army, Nursing Assistant and paramedics participated in extending medical assistance to 177 people including 38 men, 47 women and 92 children.
This Medical camp was conducted in PWS Sabra from 0900 am to 4.30 pm, wherein, patients from Balakote, Gohlad, Sabra & many other villages in the vicinity attended. During the camp de-worming of children was also carried out.
The noble intentions and genuine reach out programme by Army to the locals in this area was greatly appreciated. These projects further strengthen the bonds of bonhomie/ friendship and positively project commitment of Army towards `Awaam & Aman’, a senior Army official said .
The village Sarpanch and locals expressed their gratitude to 12 Madras and the Medical team for their selfless actions and noble intentions. They also requested that these Medical camps to be conducted on a regular basis.
