JAMMU, May 3: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma today conducted a surprise checking at Tallab Tillo near UNO Lane in Ward Number-30.
Officials of JMC including Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer; Ashok Sharma (AEE); officials of Electric Division and Officials of Revenue Section of JMC also accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
During inspection, the Deputy Mayor and JMC officials discussed sanitation issues, maintenance of street lights and took a review of other basic amenities.
Most of the street lights were found out of order and very few were functioning.
The condition of road was very dilapidated and there were pits on it. Lanes and drains are in worst condition.
The Deputy Mayor also took stock of various problems faced by the general public and directed the concerned officials of JMC to sort out public grievances on war footing basis.
She also directed the Health Officer to provide adequate sanitation staff and facilities for the welfare of the locality.
Directions were also given to the revenue and enforcement officials to clear the encroachments in the area and send all Rehris to Rehri zones.
The Deputy Mayor strictly directed all the Sanitary Supervisors to work hard with full dedication.
