REASI, May 4: The Police arrested a drug- peddler in the holy township of Katra and recovered huge consignment of banned drugs from his possession today.
Official sources said that a police party laid a naka on Katra-Panthal Road near Durga Bhawan and apprehended one person namely, Rakesh Kumar, son of Rattan Lal, resident of Janakha, Tehsil Dansal in district Jammu and recovered 2000 Tramadol capsules and 1200 Alprazolam tablets from his possession. He was coming towards Katra town.
The accused was arrested and a case FIR No. 106/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra against him. The arrest has been made by SHO Katra, Pardeep Gupta under the supervision ASP Katra, Naresh Singh.
