NEW DELHI, May 5: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh today accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress of having taken Delhi for granted and said, the people of the Union capital are now ready to teach these two parties a befitting lesson through the ballot box.
Addressing public meetings in Gautam Puri area, in support of the party candidate and Delhi State BJP President Manoj Tiwari, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, the AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal had created a false perception during the Assembly election, but within a few weeks of the formation of the Kejriwal Government, the enlightened citizens of Delhi felt cheated and began to regret their decision. He said, as of today, the people of Delhi are impatient to get rid of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and are also tired of the machinations of Congress Party.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said, the people of Delhi have realized the enormous developmental transformation carried out across the country by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Therefore, they are keen to be a part of the development journey led by Modi, he said.
Dr. Jitendra Singh lamented that the Modi Government, in the last five years, could have done much more for Delhi like it did for the other States of India including the North Eastern States, but lack of cooperation and lack of coordination by the State Government led by Arvind Kejriwal did not allow that to happen. He assured the people that next five years of the Modi Government will not only address the requirements of the people but also address the aspirations of Delhi.
Appealing for a vote in support of Manoj Tiwari, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, every vote cast by pressing the button on the lotus symbol, will contribute to the strengthening of the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and help in giving India a strong and decisive Government, for which Prime Minister Modi is being hailed all over the world.
