SRINAGAR: Two persons were injured by unidentified gunmen in south Kashmir district of Shopian on Wednesday.
Official sources said that unidentified gunmen barged into a chemist shop and fired at two persons, identified as Irfan Ahmad and Muzafar Ahmad, in Zainapora in Shopian on Wednesday afternoon.
“The duo, who work in the chemist shop, were critically injured in the attack,” they said.
The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where they were referred District Hospital Anantnag in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, they said the gunmen managed to escape from the spot after the attack, adding security forces were rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
