Business Associations meet Dy Mayor with demands

JAMMU, May 8: A delegation of representatives from prominent market Associations of Dogra Chowk, BC Road, Bikram Chowk and Jewel here today met Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and raised demands of business community.
These demands included proper streetlights at commercial areas, proper sanitation facilities and staff at each JMC Ward and a special team of Safai Karamcharis for taking care of VIP movements so that sanitation at other areas is not affected.
More demands of the delegation included tile works on footpaths, removal of encroachment by shopkeepers and shifting of illegal Rehris at Rehri Zones.
Other demands included installing boards at Chowks indicating distance and location of temples so that the general public and tourists may not suffer.
New systematic installation of electric wires and provision of proper passenger sheds at various locations was also demanded.
The Deputy Mayor assured the delegation that their demands will be looked into in the shortest possible period.
