JAMMU, May 10: A man was found dead today in mysterious circumstances in Gho Manhasan area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Jeet Raj (40) son of Puran Chand, resident of Bhagatpur (Gho Manhasan),” a police official said. Quoting family members of the deceased, the official said, “Jeet used to sleep at a room raised in their fields and last night also he went to sleep there. But in the morning, he was found lying unconscious on the bed with some physical injuries”.
The official said the family members immediately rushed Jeet to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “After postmortem, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while Pounichak police had taken cognizance of the matter,” he further added.
