KISHTWAR, May 10: The martyrs of Kishtwar were remembered on the occasion of Shaheedi Diwas today.
Senior leaders of Hindu Raksha Samiti were killed by militants on this day and since then every year this day is being observed as Shaheedi Diwas so as to pay tributes to all martyrs who lost their lives in militancy.
Swami Ram Saran Dass Shastri, Senior RSS leaders, Brigadier Suchait Singh, Purshotam Dadhichi, Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kishtwar President Hans Raj Bhutyal and Ex MLA Kishtwar Sunil Sharma were main speakers during the function.
Family members of martyrs, large number of people and leaders from various religious, social and political organizations gathered today to offer floral tributes to the martyrs.
On the occasion, students from various schools presented cultural programme.
