Machail Mata yatra from July 25

DDC reviews arrangements

KISHTWAR, May 11: District Development Commissioner, Angrez Singh Rana today reviewed arrangements for the upcoming annual holy Machail Mata yatra here at a meeting of officers and representatives of local religious organizations.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Shakti Kumar Pathak ADDC, Kishtwar Mohd. Hanief Malik, ACD Kishtwar Anil Chandail, ACR Kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain, SDM Paddar Varun Jeet, CPO Kishtwar Mohammad Iqbal district and sectoral officers besides , officers of security agencies Army, CISF, Police and members of religious organizations attended the meeting.
A detailed discussion was held about the arrangements to be made by the different departments /agencies to ensure hassle free yatra commencing from July 25 to September 5.
The DDC impressed upon the concerned departments to ensure availability of potable drinking water, electricity, fire wood, food grains, kerosene oil, medicines, life saving drugs, telecommunication services, mobile banking facilities and other essential commodities.
Project Manager, IWMP appointed as Yatra Officer to keep proper check and ensure that all arrangements are put in place for the convenience of Yatris.
Taking review of security arrangements, the DDC asked the security agencies including Police, CRPF, Army to deploy sufficient number of personnel enroute from Thathri to Machail to avoid any untoward incident.
Traffic authorities were directed to chalk out traffic plan to avoid traffic jams due to heavy rush of vehicles during Yatra period.
The CMO was directed to keep emergency medicines/life saving drugs besides emergency equipments shall be got installed with minimum 10 oxygen cylinder at Gulabgarh and Machail.
