JAMMU, May 12: The inhabitants of Mandal Phallain have demanded immediate renovation of Surechak to Chak Jogi road linking the area with Mandal Phallain.
The residents of the area alleged that despite the repeated pleas the authorities failed to repair the road which has been cause of concern for them. They said though the problem was highlighted number of time but the authorities failed to do the needful.
They said road of Surechak, Rambagh, Kulliyan, Chak Jogi villages is in worst condition and needs to be repaired at the earliest to avoid accidents while travelling. The road is quite important as it connects many villages and the daily commuters are the worst sufferers due to the dilapidated condition of the road. Reiterating their appeal to Government the residents of the area demanded that the renovation work of road be taken up in hand immediately as the road has become a death trap. They said the authorities concerned have shown a lackadaisical attitude towards the same which has added to the woes of the people of the area.
The residents have also sought the immediate intervention of the Governor in the matter.
