SAMBA, May 12: Samba police has solved the sensational abduction case of 5th Standard Army Primary School, Kaluchak student by arresting all the kidnappers.
A communique by Police Headquqarters here today said that the sensational abduction case of Kaluchak Army School student Anirudh, son of Joginder Paul Sharma of Dasal has been solved by police after identifying the gang of kidnappers and arresting all of them.
DG Police Dilbag Singh in a letter to SSP Samba, Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma has commended the role of Samba police headed by him in harmless recovery of the student and arrest of all the kidnappers.
The DGP has also sanctioned an amount of Rs 2500 each as cash award for 14 cops and Rs 1500 as cash award each for 37 cops of the District Samba in working out the sensational kidnapping case and arresting entire gang of kidnappers.
In his letter to SSP Samba, DGP said the “I wish to place on record my deep appreciation for the excellent work done by district police Samba under your leadership and guidance in working out the sensational kidnapping case of a minor school boy from Samba for ransom. The police response was prompt, apt and professional which not only led to the return of the boy unharmed but also the entire kidnapping gang was identified and arrested in a record time”.
The DGP also complimented the team of police inclduing officers who were actually involved in working out this case.
However, when contacted SSP Samba, Dr Koshal Sharma said that no ransom was paid to kidnappers by the family of the boy. He said that one or two arrests are still to be made in this case which most probably has been solved now.
When asked about the cause and motive behind the kidnapping of the boy, the SSP said that ransom was the only motive. The people want to become rich overnight as they have no source for that so they resort to such illegal and inhuman activity, he added.
He said it was a great acheivement for the police that the boy was recovered unharmed and reunited with his family.
It may be recalled that the Army School Kaluchak student was kidnapped in a red colour car on May 6 when he was left by Army School vehicle in front of a lane near his house in Bari Brahmana area. A gang of five kidnappers was involved in it.
