RAJOURI, May 20: Senior Congress leader and president Municipal Committee Thanna Mandi, Shakeel Ahmed Mir has demanded that sectoral offices like AEE (PWD), (PDD), Irrigation & Flood Control, Range Office Forest, ITI and Polytechnic College must be opened at Thanna Mandi Sub Divisional Headquarters
In a press statement here MC president said these all offices needed to be opened here without any delay to mitigate the public sufferings. Mir said that it’s very unfortunate that despite upgrading Thanna Mandi to Sub Division level from Tehsil in 2014, not a single office has been opened in Thanna Mandi which clearly shows the negligent attitude of Government.
Mir further said that Thanna Mandi is perhaps the only Sub Divisional headquarters in J&K which lacks, Fire Service Station, ITI / Polytechnic College. These institutions must be opened in the greater interest of people of this area. He hoped that Governor Satya Pal Malik will look into these burning issues of this area.
