SRINAGAR, May 21: A deputation of J&K Private Schools Association, under the leadership of Rameshwar Mengi and accompanying members of J&K Joint Coordination Committee of Private Schools, Srinagar, called on Justice (Retd) Imtiyaz Hussain, Chairman Fee Fixation Committee of Private Educational Institutions at his office at Hyderpora in Srinagar.
General secretary JKPSA Ajay Gupta apprised Justice Imtiyaz Hussain about the turmoil created by few confused minds in Jammu regarding refund of fee to the parents. “Most of the schools are now charging as per order number 01 FFC of 2019 dated 28-01-2019 and as per the circular number 01 FFC of 2019 dated 26/03/19, the condition of refund does not apply to those schools which are charging fee as per FFC order. The unwanted and unrealistic protests devoid of any substantial base are causing discouragement and confusion in the minds of parents and common citizens,” he explained.
Members in the delegation also demanded categorization of all the schools functioning in the State based on availability of land, infrastructure and other allied facilities. “Educational Institutions should be allowed to charge one time admission fee at the time when child is initiated in the school by fixing minimum and maximum limit so that the child already studying in the same school is also benefitted. Rectification of clause 12 of order number 01 FFC of 2019 dated 28-01-2019 & enhancement of fee structure annually by 8 percent to 10 percent to match with the annual inflation rate and price index were also demanded.

So, FFC is extending invitation to the members of registered / recognized bodies of Private schools of Srinagar, Jammu & Ladakh division to get ready for the formation of effective & transparent policy regarding universal fee fixation.
“Total commercialized education for the individual’s gain shall not be tolerated. Any individual whether parent or school owner who wants to take mileage beyond the law will not be spared.FFC and State Government are working together to bring uniformity in all walks of life,” he added.
