MBSCET holds workshop on ‘Auto CAD and 3D Printing’

JAMMU, May 21: The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology (MBSCET) organized two-day workshop on “Auto CAD and 3D Printing” in college premises.
The workshop was organized in collaboration with CAD Point Engineering Solution Private Limited, Jammu Centre. Around 54 students from different disciplines of engineering along with faculty members of Mechanical Engineering and other departments attended the workshop.
Navjot Singh, Director, CAD Point, J&K was the resource person. He explained in detail the basics of Auto CAD, and its applications in 3D printing and mechatronics, in his interactive sessions.
Prof Parveen Singh, Dean (Academics) emphasized on innovative thinking during his address while Prof (Dr) A S Sudan, Chairman, MBSCET, discussed the importance of Auto CAD for engineers. Prof Sudan also explained that 3D with Auto CAD has made the engineers easy to visualize the working of machines and its analysis.
Earlier, Harinder Pal Singh, Assistant Professor presented the welcome address. Other dignitaries present were Prof (Dr) Anjani Kumar, Principal MBSCET, Prof Amrik Singh (Vice Principal) and H S Gill (DSW).
The workshop culminated with vote of thanks presented by Johny Khajuria, Head, Mechanical Engineering Department, who was also coordinator of the workshop.
