JAMMU, May 21: Former Member Parliament and president Dogra Swabhimaan Sangthan Party (DSSP), Ch Lal Singh has declared that DSSP would shortly launch membership drive in Jammu region.
In a meeting of the party chaired by Ch Lal Singh Minister, the Central Working Committee members unanimously resolved that DSSP will soon start a membership drive in Jammu region. The districts presidents and the office bearers of the party will move to every nook and corner of the region and start membership drive in the Jammu up to the level of the Panchayats and booth.
While chairing the meeting, Ch Lal Singh said that the vision document of the party should reach to every corner and to every Jammuite. He said that DSSP is now famous party of the Jammu region and Dogras will now vote for decisive battle in the coming Assembly elections. He said that Dogra Swabhimaan Sangthan is the only party which is fighting for the rights of the people of Jammu.
Lal Singh said that Dogras have understood that they are treated as mere vote bank by the national parties and they are simply appeasing the Kashmiris. The recent issue of the JK Bank PO list was also discussed in the CWC and the entire CWC took a strong note of this discrimination and the manipulation of the merit by the authorities. This is a new example where people of Jammu are treated as a commodity and no Govt ever bothered about the legitimate issues of Jammu. All the successive Governments have ignored the interests and aspiration of the Dogras.
