JAMMU, May 23: The dead body of a man appears to be a beggar was recovered from Paloura area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Janipur.
“An unknown man of age about 60 years was found dead near Paloura Talab this evening,” a police official said, adding prima facie the deceased man appears to be a beggar.
He said the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem while Janipur police had initiated inquest proceedings in this connection. “Any information regarding identity and residential particulars of the deceased may be communicated to police station Janipur,” he added.
