Omar visits Hazratbal shrine, reviews expansion plan

SRINAGAR, Feb 24: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today visited Hazratbal shrine and reviewed the expansion and beautification plan of Hazratbal shrine on the spot.
The Minister for Rural Development, Ali Mohammad Sagar, Vice Chairman Waqaf Board, Prof. M. Y. Qadri and various members of Waqaf Board were accompanying the Chief Minister.
Omar Abdullah, who is also Chairman of Waqaf Board, directed early formulation of the expansion plan so that it could be discussed in the next Waqaf Board meeting. He said in order to facilitate devotees and make the surroundings of Hazratbal shrine more beautiful a well planned expansion programme is the need of the hour. He asked Waqaf Board to take early action in this regard.
Omar Abdullah also paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for peace and development of Jammu and Kashmir.
