KATHUA, May 25: Government Degree College Hiranagar held alumni meet at the college campus, here today, which was presided over by the Principal Dr Tilak Raj Sharma.
On the occasion, students of the Music Department organized a mesmerizing cultural programme. The alumni constituted an association, under the name and style of “Alumni Association, GLDM Degree College Hiranagar”, comprising, Lucky Sharma, Karan Singh Manhas and Rupali Sharma as president, secretary and treasurer, respectively. The members named to this association included Megha Sharma, Deepshikha Jasrotia, Bhawani Singh and Sonali Jasrotia.
In his address, the Principal of the college apprised the alumni about the road map of the college for development and steps taken in that regard. He shared the information related to various achievements of the college.
Dr P Bambroo, Coordinator of the college IQAC, dwelt at length the initiatives taken in the direction of promoting quality education in the college that comprise introduction of technology based teaching pedagogies, transparency in internal assessment tests, automation of college library and access to e-resources for faculty and students.
