JAMMU, May 25: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior leader BJP, Kavinder Gupta along with Councillors Rahul Kumar and Bhanu Mahajan today dedicated new 250 KVA transformer and Substation to the residents and business establishments of Gole Market at Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
This was long pending demand of traders and residents of the area. These areas have been facing power crisis from the past several years.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that during his tenure as MLA, he tried his best for the development works and other projects. He said the major projects executed in this area, include gradation of 10 MVA substations to 20 MVA. “We have been successful to lessen the power cuts this year by improving the power distribution system,” he said adding that more than 400 distribution transformers of different capacities and more than 14000 new electric poles have been installed in Gandhi Nagar constituency in the past three years.
On the occasion, public highlighted some problems related to delay of macamadization of Apsara Road, the funds for which had been provided from the CDF of Kavinder Gupta, interior lanes and drains, non-functioning of street lights, garbage pickup and disposal system, and stalled work on the main gate of the Apsara road.
Maintaining that BJP is the party of development and is bound to serve the people, Kavinder Gupta assured the public and traders of the area that their legitimate demands would be fulfilled in a phased manner as Government at Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved total development and prosperity of the State. He appealed people to come up with the developmental works which are necessity of the hour so that process for the execution is initiated at the earliest.
Vinay Gupta, Ashu Gupta, Indu Bhushan Sharma, Rohin Chandran, Vishal Gupta, Sanjay Gupta and officials from PDD, were among those present on the occasion.
