Bovines smuggling bids foiled, 24 cattle rescued

JAMMU, May 25: Sidhra police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 24 cattle.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra Police Post led by SI Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday laid a naka and intercepted 5 Tata Mobiles bearing registration numbers JK02BX-9688, JK02BW-1063, JK02CA-5132, JK02CH-0120 and JMU-49534.
During checking, police team rescued 24 bovine animals from the vehicles, while the cattle smugglers managed to escape from the spot.
Cases under FIR Numbers no.219/19, 220/19, 221/19, 222/19 and 223/19 under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
