JAMMU, May 27: Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) has expressed hope that new Modi Government would resolve all the pending issues of the displaced persons (DPs)) from PoK as per the recommendations of Joint Parliamentary Committee.
In a meeting of the JKSAC held at Jammu on behalf of DPs of 1947 from PoK , the members congratulated Narendra Modi designated Prime Minister from BJP and both the winning candidates Jugal Kishore Sharma and Dr Jitendra Singh from Jammu and Kathua constituencies for their massive vistory in the Parliamentary election of 2019.
While addressiong the meeting, Gurdev Singh president, congratulated BJP for the landslide victory and said that this legendry victory is outcome of Narendra Modi’s vision of “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas” and now as “Sab Ka Vishwas”. He said that BJP has again voted to power because of good governance provided by Modi Ji, who has a dream and pledged to take the country out of economic crisis and also addressed the issues of common poor masses by providing them basic amenities of life irrespective of caste, creed, color and religion.
He further said that DPs in 2014 election had trusted Modi Govt and extended their full support to BJP resulting in wining of both the seats in Jammu region. It is a matter of great pride for DPs that he did not betray them and acknowledged the legitimacy of their claims/issues by announcing a package of Rs 2000 crores on 7-11-2015 in their favour, which gave some solace to them. The DPs has once again reposed their faith in him with the hope that their legitimate one time settlement issue would be resolved adequately as per the aspirations of DPs in the light of JPC Report No. 183 of Dec, 2014.
He appealed both the candidates to strive hard for the resolution of their one time settlement issue as both are indebted to DPs and this massive mandate given to them bring responsibility to fulfill the legitimate aspiration of DPs regarding their issues which has been derailed by previous dispensation of state and centre.
