JAMMU, May 30: For monitoring the National Green Corps (NGC) ‘Eco Club Programme’ in Jammu and Kashmir , the Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of State Steering Committee and District Monitoring Committee.
Headed by Administrative Secretary, Forest, Environment & Ecology Department as its Chairman, the State Steering Committee shall be comprising Administrative Secretary School Education Department, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, J&K, Director Environment, Ecology and Remote Sensing as the Members and Member Secretary, J&K State Pollution Control Board as the Member Secretary.
The Monitoring Committee at District level shall be headed by the concerned District Development Commissioner and comprising of Divisional Forest Officer ( Territorial), Chief Medical Officer, District Officer, J&K State Pollution Control Board and concerned Chief Education Officer.
