27 bovines seized in Rajouri, Poonch

POONCH/ RAJOURI, May 31: The police rescued 27 bovine animals while being smuggled to Kashmir via Mughal Road in Rajouri and Poonch and arrested five persons in this connection last night.
A police spokesman said that during checking at Jaran Wali Gali, one vehicle bearing registration No- JK02AL / 8205 coming from Rajouri towards Surankote was stopped by the police party. Five cattle were found loaded in the vehicle. The police rescued the cattle and arrested vehicle driver namely, Sayed Hussain, son of Mohd Yaqoob, resident of Manjakote. A case FIR No. 35/2019 u/s 188 RPC has been registered against him.
The police teams during naka at Behramgalla rescued nine bovines in total and arrested two persons namely Mohd Ramzan, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Khablian Thanamandi and Gulzar Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Thanamandi and also seized a vehicle bearing registration No. JK11A/ 4962 . In this connection, case FIR No 116/2019 and 117/2019 have been registered.
Meanwhile, Thanamandi police seized two vehicles JK-11/ 0794 and JK03/ 3445 and rescued 13 bovine animals from both the vehicles lasty night.
The arrested drivers were identified as Talib Hussain, son of Ghulam Hussain and Mohd Farooq, son of Abdul Gafoor, residents of Kandi.
A case was registered against them.
