SRINAGAR, Feb 25: The independent Legislator from Langate Assembly constituency Engineer Abdul Rashid today asked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and People’s Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti to ensure that his resolution seeking to hand over Mohammad Afzal Guru’s body to his family is taken up for discussion without balloting.
Addressing a press conference here, Engineer Rashid said that he has already submitted the resolution on February 12 and sought support from NC and PDP legislators in this regard. He said Omar and Mehbooba can play an important role in ensuring that the resolution comes up for discussion.
