JAMMU, June 1: A man was today found injured in Channi Himmat area and later he died in the hospital.
According to a police official, a man identified as Moni Lal of Bihar (at present living in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu), in inebriated condition was found injured on a road in Channi Himmat area, this morning. He said the man was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he passed away at about 1: 35 PM.
“After postmortem the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Trikuta Nagar to know the reason of death,” the official added.
