JAMMU, June 1: A shop was gutted in Nowshera town while a cattle shed caught fire in Kandi area of district Rajouri last night.
Reports said a shop of blacksmith Fazal Hussain, resident Gangrote, located in bus stand area at Nowshera caught fire last night. The shop suffered extensive damage. However, fire was controlled by Firemen after some time and adjoining shops were saved from further damage.
In yet another similar incident at village Punda Chambitrar, cattle shed of one Nazir Hussain, son of Mahir Din caught fire last night. While the cattle were saved, about a dozen poultry birds were charred to death. Short circuit was expected to be the cause behind the incident.
