UDHAMPUR, June 2: A young man was found brutally murdered by some unidentified assailants at village Khlora in Upper Kalsote forest area of Block Panchari, here today.
The Police has identified the deceased as Bodh Raj (40), son of Krishan Lal of Basnote Moungri. His dead body with injury marks with some sharp edged weapon and signs of strangulation, was found lying in the forest area by some locals who immediately called the police.
Later the body was shifted to Primary Health Center (PHC) Panchari for the postmortem and other legal formalities by the Panchari Police, which has registered a murder case in this connection under Section 302 RPC and started further investigations.
According to SHO Panchari, Farooq Ahmed Khateeb, the deceased had gone to his `Dhok’ (temporary accommodation for staying at higher reaches) on May 30 and today morning some locals called the Police Station informing about dead body lying in forest area. Investigations are going on and some suspected have been detained for questioning, he added.
