JAMMU, June 2: Panun Kashmir (PK) has urged the Union Government to recognize that carving out of Centrally administered Union Territory on East and North of river Jhelum for rehabilitating internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir has become an imperative necessity for restoration of peace in trouble-torn Valley.
This was stated by PK leaders including its convener, Dr Agnishekhar and chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo at a joint press conference here, today.
They said the situation in Kashmir is critical and requires measures that give a decisive blow to separatism.
“It is time that separatist movement in J& K is made full of stakes and policy of governing J&K through half way separatism be abandoned lock stock and
Barrel”, said Dr Agnishekhar.
He said Centre needs to accept that there is an Islamist separatist epidemic which has taken Kashmir into its grip., In Kashmir a Syria type situation is sought to be created and both day to day terrorism as well as Islamic indoctrination infrastructure needs to be destroyed in the State”, he added.
There is an imperative necessity to tell the world that the separatist movement in J & K is a totalitarian assault on freedom and coexistence, said Dr Ajay Chrungoo. He said this can be only done if the world is told in unambiguous terms that separatism in Kashmir declared its presence in the State by unleashing a genocide on the Hindus of Kashmir, he added.
PK leaders urged Central Government to understand the importance of this fact so that the separatism in J&K is exposed in front of the world.
They welcomed the statement of Union Home Secretary who acknowledged that JKLF was responsible for the genocide of Hindus of Kashmir.

They said the Government needs to carry this forward by accepting at the highest level that Hindus of Kashmir have suffered a genocide and forthwith drop the coinage ‘migrant’ used for them and initiate all required steps to punish the perpetrators of this genocide.
They said that G o I is a signatory to the UN Conventions for prevention and punishment of the crimes of genocide. Till now Government has treated the issue of internal displacement as an issue akin to earthquake or flood victims and sought to reverse it through economic packages. This has led to perpetration of a crime of denial of genocide against them, PK leaders added.
They appealed to Union Government to abandon the policies of denial of genocide of Hindus of Kashmir and institute in its place a comprehensive policy of permanent reversal of genocide. This can be done by creating a Centrally administered Union Territory of PK in Kashmir Valley and urged G o I to immediately start a dialogue with the representatives of P K in this regard.
