JAMMU, June 3: An impressive Hawan Yagya was solemnized on the occasion of Shani Jayanti with full religious fervour and gaiety today at Jourian.
According to the report, a large number of devotees participated in the function at Shani Dham Jourian.
Shani’s gravitational power is more than that of the earth. Therefore, when we think good or bad and make plans, they reached Shani by the strength of his power, said the scholars during the function.
In astrological terms, the bad influence is considered as unlucky. But the result of good deeds will be good, “Therefore, we must understand God Shani as a friend and not as foe. said Suraj Cheatnaya Maharaaj”.
The people en route greeted the Shani Pooja by showering flowers and the participants enjoyed the trance while chanting the bhajans in praise of Shani Maharaj.
The Shani Dev Seva Smiti Jourian distributed the cold drinks and fruits to devotees during the Hawan Yagya.
Among others present were Shanidev Seva Smiti Jourian, president Abhishek Gupta and others members.
The main function has been celebrated on June 11 during Foundation Day of World Largest Shani Dev statue and temple at Shani Dham Jourian Akhnoor.
