JAMMU, June 3: Under Trial Review Committee led by Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Jammu, Vinod Chatterji Koul, today visited Central Jail Kotbhalwal and District Jail Ambphalla and inspected the facilities being extended to the jail inmates.
Secretary District Legal Services Authority Naushad Ahmad Khan accompanied the Chairman.
The Committee inspected the kitchens, the quality of food, drinking water being provided to the inmates besides checking the cleanliness of barracks, toilets etc.
The Committee accompanied by jail doctors inspected the hospitals and the medical facilities being provided to the ailing inmates. It also inspected the vocational training centres at both the jails.
The Committee also inspected educational programme centres being run by IGNOU in the premises of the both the jails.
