REASI, June 6: An 8- year old girl was today mauled to death by leopard that also left twin sister of the deceased seriously injured here in village Sajroo of Sub Division Mahore in Reasi district.
Reports said that the twin sisters were playing nearby their house when a leopard attacked them around 16.30 hours and killed Dilshad Banoo, daughter of Mushtaq Ahmed of Shajroo while injuring the other namely Shaida Banoo.

The leopard dragged the body of deceased girl to nearby forest from where it was found later on by the locals after a search of two hours. The injured was shifted to Mahore Sub-District Hospital for treatment and her condition was stated to be serious but stable.
Within last two months, this was the fourth incident of leopard attack, which has triggered a panic wave among the locals, who expressed their anger against the Department of Wildlife for not taking any measure to prevent such attacks of the beast.
The locals also appealed to the District administration for sending special team for catching the beast and save the lives of people.
