JAMMU, June 6: The Government has posted Rajesh Kumar, an IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre as IG CRPF (Operations) Kashmir.
He will replace Zulfqar Hassan, who has been transferred and posted as IG in CRPF Headquarters at New Delhi.
Kumar is an IPS officer of 1995 batch and has held various postings in Jammu and Kashmir including IGP Jammu. Presently, he was posted in Manipur sector.
Sources said Hassan might have been shifted from Kashmir due to February 14 Pulwama terror attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were martyred.
