REASI, June 7: A self styled Peer and accused of raping a 13-year old girl, who was evading his arrest for the last one year, was nabbed by Reasi Police from Banihal area, where he was hiding.
The accused, identified as Peer Qasim (50), son of Ismail Gujjar of Gogthal Doligam, Banihal, who involved in case FIR number 32/2018, U/ S 376/109/RPC, Section 4 Inf R M Act. He is accused of committing multiple rape of a 13-year old girl and leaving her pregnant with a child. Since registration of the case, he was evading his arrest by frequently changing his locations.
A special team of PS Mahore was continuously trying to arrest him. Acting on specific information, Inspr Anzeer Ahmed, SHO P/S Mahore and Zakir Shahin Mirza, SDPO Mahore, finally arrested the accused from Banihal area.
