JKTF delegation submits memorandum of demands to Director School Education

JAMMU, June 8: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum, led by JKTF chairman Ganesh Khajuria, called on Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta in her office Chamber where Personnel Officer, Rajeev Khajuria and Joint Director H R Pakhroo were also present.
During the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria highlighted the burning demands of all cadres of teaching community and submitted a memorandum before the Director School Education Jammu. In the memorandum, JKTF highlighted that more than 2000 Head Teachers in Jammu Province working under the erstwhile SSA upgraded middle schools are without salaries for the last four months while their issue of 7th Pay Commission arrears w.e.f 1-1-2016 to August 2018 is still unresolved .
The JKTF demanded detachment of teaching faculty attached in various offices of Education Department, early regularisation of ReTs who have completed their five years of regular services, 7th Pay Commission benefits in favour of undergraduate ReTs and expediting the process for granting Teachers Grade II to them, regularization of Laboratory Bearers promoted as Lab Assistants, Class IV to Junior Assistants and Lab Assistants to Teachers working in their own pay and grades, promotion of Class IV to the next cadre, early conduct of DPC and regularisation of contingent paid workers.
The Director gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that the salary of three months in favour of Masters known as Head Teachers working under SSA upgraded middle schools will be released in the next week while positive action on some of the other demands was already initiated. She appealed the teaching fraternity to work with dedication and honesty for the betterment of students and to achieve the academic excellence.
