IFS probationers interact with JK Forest officials

JAMMU, June 11: A batch of IFS Probationer today visited J&K to study the Forest and Geography of the State.
An interactive session was also organized for IFS Probationer at FIC Jammu.
Chief Conservator of Forest Jammu, Sameer Bharti gave brief note on the working of Forest department of J&K State. During his address he emphasized on Jammu Forest notice, distribution of timber and firewood, the challenges being faced by the department particularly the encroachment issues, the development works being under taken by the Department.
Conservator of Forest East Circle Jammu, Samuel Changkija also gave a brief note on various issues of East Circle Jammu, particularly the encroachment issued adjoining the Urban conglomerates.
Sr. Scientist State Pollution Control Board Dr. Yash Paul, presented the working of PCB and the challenges and the achievement of the State PCB.
Course Director of IFS Probationer, Associate Professor IGNFA Dehradun K. Sajikumar, thanked the Forest fraternity for hosting the interactive session for IFS Probationer.
B. Mohandass, Conservator of Forest West Circle Rajouri, Alok Maurya, DFO Jammu, Sunil Singh DFO Urban Forestry division Jammu were also present in the interactive session.
