JAMMU, June 11: A delegation of Sudhmahadev Chhari Yatra Aayojan Samiti here today met K.K Sharma, Advisor to the Governor and demanded elaborate security and other arrangements for the proposed Chhari Yatra on June 17.
Members of the delegation were Narinder Sharma, Varun Magotra, Baldev Khullar, Madan Malagar, Anand Gandotra, Ram Magotra, Somnath, Sourab Kumar, Vikas Sharma and Sahil Sharma.
The delegation said that for the first time Samiti is organizing Chhari Yatra to Sudhmahadev from ancient Panjbakhtar Temple (Rupaye Wala Mandir) which will start after Chhari Pujan on the evening of June 16.
The Samiti requested the Advisor to flag-off the Chhari Yatra from Panjbakhtar Temple and expressed hopefulness that it will promote pilgrim tourism as Sudhmahadev Temple Complex has its reference in religious books like Padam Puran and Shiv Puran.
The Advisor directed Divisional Commissioner Jammu for necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of Yatra.
