JAMMU, June 13: Twenty-four persons including five Vaishno Devi pilgrims belonging to Delhi were injured in two separate road accidents in outskirts of city.
According to a police official, 19 persons received injuries late last night when a load carrier collided with an Alto car near Marh Power Station. He said that all the injured were travelling in the load carrier. They were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Jammu for treatment
They injured were identified as Jai Kumar Sharma (38) son of Ram Ji, resident of Patnial, Kanu Sharma (22) son of Prabhu Dayal of Lalyot, Anju (25) wife of Sohan Lal, Meenu Devi wife of Dev Raj of Durga Chak, Ansh (10) son of Kewal of Durga Chak, Gourav (9) son of Dev Raj of Durga Chak, Varun (9) son of Ashwani of Durga Chak, Ashwani (32) son of Om Parkash of Durga Chak, Amit (27) son of Milkhi Ram, Rakesh (38) son of Om Parkash of Durga Chak, Jyoti (27) wife of Rakesh of Durga Chak, Pyaru Ram (50) son of Surju Ram, Kewal (42) son of Amar Nath of Durga Chak, Lovish (5) son of Sohan Lal of Durga Chak, Kamlesh (28) wife of Ashwani of Durga Chak, Riya Devi (14) daughter of Kewal Krishan of Durga Chak, Kamlesh (28) wife of Ashwani of Durga Chak, Dev Raj (40) son of Amarnath of Durga Chak and Monika (38) wife of Kewal of Durga Chak.
Another mishap occurred this morning near Jagti, Nagrota when a Scorpio car turned turtle on highway. The vehicle was carrying five Vaishno Devi pilgrims from Katra to Jammu. All the pilgrims received injuries in the mishap and were shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. They were identified as Avtar Singh (32) son of Krishan Chand, Daksh (5) son of Kapil Choudhary, Richa (30) wife of Kapil Choudhary, Myra (3) daughter of Naveen and Aruna (27) daughter of Naveen, all residents of Dallupar, Delhi.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
