REASI, June 14: Agitated over power failure in their area for the last three days, the inhabitants of village Sarh in Reasi district today blocked Mahore- Chassana road for several hours to protest against the Power Development Department (PDD).
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the PDD and local authorities for their indifferent attitude towards the locals and accused them of neglecting the people despite many promises time and again. “There is no electricity supply in the area from last three days and despite being informed to the administration, no action has been taken yet,” they said.
Later Naib Tehsildar Mahore and Police officials reached there and pacified the protestors by assuring them of redressal of their problem.
