PHDCCI delegation meets Advisor, discusses various issues

JAMMU, June 15: A delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by its Chairman Vikrant Kuthiala, alongwith Co-Chairmen Kuldeep Gupta, Rakesh Wazir and other senior members, met Kewal Kumar Sharma, Advisor to Governor, here today and discussed with him various issues.
Kuthiala briefed Advisor that PHDCCI has received number of representations from Trade and Industry members for early resolution of the issues related to Jammu Master Plan, Jammu Airport expansion, creation of visitors car parking/pick-up and drop off inside Jammu Airport, Jammu Metro Rail Project, road, traffic & parking issues, construction of flyover at Satwari-Airport crossing, construction of drainage and sewerage at Canal Road along with road widening of Jammu Akhnoor highway, creation of Green Park at Bhagwati Nagar, completion of major projects like re-commencement of work of Jammu Zoo at Nagrota, early completion of Tawi Artificial Lake etc.
Rakesh Wazir urged the Advisor for his intervention for continuation of stated Government policy of charging industrial power tariff from Hotels. He also requested that refund of GST as is being done to Industry be given to Hotel Industry as well for which the Industries Department has already written to the Finance Ministry.
Rahul Sahai took up concern related to Transport Nagar and road connectivity of Industrial Area Kangrail. He explained how the Transport Nagar is facing concern related to sanitation of Transport Nagar on similar lines of Colonies / Bazaars on regular basis.
The delegation was accompanied by Sanjay Gupta, Sanjay Aggarwal , Ajay Gandotra, Shantanu Gupta, Varinder Kesar, Meena Wazir, Kushal Mangotra, Sidhanth Choudhary, Vivek Bhardwaj and Aditya Vaid.
