Two notorious thieves arrested, gold ornaments recovered

JAMMU, Feb 27: The police claims to have arrested two inter-state thieves and solved a case of burglary.
A police spokesperson said that two accused persons identified as Javed Ahmed, son of Mohd Ramzan, resident of Gaddi, Tehsil Kada, and Farid Ahmed Bhatt son of Gulam Qadir Bhatt, resident of Kalotran, tehsil Gandoh, District Doda, were arrested by the police on suspicion, who after sustained questioning broke down and confessed their involvement in the burglary having taken place in the house of Paras Ram, son of Diwan Chib, resident of Sainik Colony. They turned out to the members of an inter-state gang, who had committed such burglaries in Himachal Pradesh also, he added.
All the gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakh, which they had stolen from the house of Paras Ram were recovered from their possession, spokesman said, adding the two associates of the gang are still at large with their shared stolen ornaments.
It is pertinent to mention here that some time back a burglary had taken place in the house of Paras Ram, who got registered a complaint in this regard in Police Station Channi Himmat after which on the direction of SSP Jammu, Rahjeshwar Singh, a special team headed by SDPO, East Jammu, SS Sambyal, Regzin Sandup Prob Deputy Superintendent SHO Police Station, Channi Himmat and I/C PP Sainik Colony, Javed Choudhary PSI was constituted to work out the case.
Meanwhile, Channi Police also arrested one Bharat Lal, son of Ram Narayan, resident of Chatisgarh (MP) presently residing in Trikuta Nagar, for stealing sanitary fitting items from the house of Ashwini Nanda, son of Om Parkash Nanda of Channi Himmat. A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Channi Himmat.
