JAMMU, Feb 27: A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of Legislative Council was held here today. Chairman, Legislative Council Amrit Malhotra chaired the meeting.
Minister for Planning and Development Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Mir Saifullah, Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Muhammad Yousuf Taing besides members of the BAC Javeed Ahmad Rana, Bashir Ahmad Magray, Ravinder Kumar Sharma, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Secretary Legislative Council Muhammad Ashraf Mir, Secretary Parliamentary Affairs Farhat Tasneem, Deputy Secretary LC Muhammad Maqbool Bhat, and senior officers of the Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
The meeting approved the calendar of sittings issued by the Council Secretariat provisionally with certain modifications. The meeting was informed that 5-days were reserved for discussions on working of Ministers viz School Education, PHE Irrigation and Flood Control, Health, R&B and Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution,.
Threadbare discussions were held on certain measures for smooth functioning of the House and conduct of the Budget session.
The Ministers along with the senior officers including Secretary Legislative Assembly, Mohammad Ramzan also visited the Central Hall where the session will be held with the Governor’s address to both the Houses on February 28, 2013.
