J&K Pensioners & Civil Society Asso projects demands

JAMMU, June 24: All J&K Pensioners and Civil Society Association, Jammu held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President, Ajit Singh Adyal, here today.
General Secretary of the Association, ND Sharma was also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed demands of erstwhile DTU/JK SRTC pensioners alongwith other demands of the State pensioners.
The members appealed the Govt to take up all genuine demands of the pensioners/family pensioners which need to be settled by the State Govt at an earliest as the same are lying pending for a pretty long time.
The main demands of the pensioners included removal of disparity in payment of pension in One Rank One Pension payment formula, four types of qualifying service pension categories of 33, 30, 28 and 20 years need to be consolidated into one category of qualifying service analogous to the Central Government employees.
“Under SRO-333 of 2018 dated 02.8.2018, the clerical staff has been upgraded by one pay scale but other categories of State Services having same pay scales have been ignored which need to be considered favourably for up-gradation as has been done in favour of clerical staff and Patwaris from 01.01.1996,” the members expressed.
The members further demanded enhancement of Medical allowance of Rs 300 per month to Rs 5000 per month or an alternatively Health Medical Insurance Scheme to be introduced by the Govt at an earliest to accommodate employees and pensioners.
The members said the disparity in Time Bound Promotions under SRO 14 of 1996 dated 15.01.1996 is still existing in respect of erstwhile DTU/SRTC employees and pensioner drivers and conductors w.e.f. 01.01.1996 which needs to be settled soon.
Adyal urged appealed Governor SP Malik and Advisor KK Sharma to kindly consider their genuine demands on priority basis.
The members who spoke on the occasion were ND Sharma, Suram Singh Chib, OP Sharma, Ved Prakash Sharma Sukhwinder Singh Charak, OP Lakhnotra, Jasbir Singh Arora, VK Gupta, Janak Raj Gupta, Surjeet Singh and Darshan Kumar Sharma.
