Three stolen bikes recovered, one arrested

JAMMU, June 24: Nowabad police recovered 3 motorcycles stolen from different places and arrested one vehicle lifter.
“On June 14, a complaint had been received by police station Nowabad regarding the theft of a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AP-7428 from Chand Nagar area and on the basis of the complaint a case FIR No 92/2019 U/S 379/RPC was registered there,” a police official said.
He said that acting swiftly on the complaint, a team led by Inspector Bimal Indu, SHO police station Nowabad and SI Safdar Hussain Shah immediately swung into action and started rounding up suspects and examining evidence. “Based on leads developed during investigation, the team arrested one person namely Maqsood Chowdhary son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of Gursai (Mendhar) in Poonch district (at present Nagrota By-Pass),” he added.
The official said that on the disclosure of the suspect, the stolen motorcycle, along with two other bikes (Pulsar Red Colour, Engine No DHGBS208379 and Chasis No HD2DHDHZZSCL19910 and 2nd Passon Pro Engine No DHIOEC9GJ95042 and Chasis No HBLHAIOEN9GJ1056), was recovered.
Further investigation into the matter is going on, he further added.
